Extra Load Tyres

Extra load tyres – otherwise known as XL tyres – are designed for significantly heavier models of vehicles, and vehicles which routinely carry heavy loads. They are often used on SUVs and multi-purpose vehicles.

They are manufactured to cope with extra weight and the higher tyre pressure required. Most vehicle manufacturers produce a standard and extra load (XL) tyre in their ranges.

Any vehicle can be fitted with extra load (XL) tyres. Passenger-carrying vehicles often require extra load (XL) tyres. Even your SUV with a full passenger load and associated holiday luggage may require extra load (XL) tyres.
